- Kickoff Event: Start the discussion about mental health by joining us at the Peterson house on Tuesday, October 13th at 7:00 p.m.
- Zombie Crawl: get in the October spirit and come to the ILS Zombie Crawl
November:
- Mental Health Issue of the Month: Anxiety Disorders
- Mental Health Fair: Travel down the hill to the Mental Health Fair organized by Dr. Marie Walker of the Psychological Science Department
December:
- Mental Health Issue of the Month: Depression
- Stress Relief: Join us for tea and conversation with the Peer Assistants on ways to stay stress-free during finals and the effects of stress on our well being, plus receive a famous finals-week massage
January:
- Mental Health Issue of the Month: Eating Disorders
- Nutrition: Come grab some orange juice and learn about how what we eat effects our mental well being
February:
- Mental Health Issue of the Month: Bipolar Disorder
- Relationships: Head to our house to learn about the role our relationships have on our mental health, find strategies for having those tough conversations about maintaining a healthy relationship and learn to recognize toxic relationships
March:
- Mental Health Issue of the Month: Addiction
- The media and mental health: We will be having discussions on how media portrayals of college students and how it glamorizes addiction and binge drinking.
April:
- Mental Health Issue of the Month: Schizophrenia
- Special topics in mental health: This event is designed to allow everyone to ask questions about specific mental health issues or broad concepts in mental health through facilitated conversation
May:
- Wrap-up event: whether you've been to every event, or this will be your first, stop by for treats and a chance to tell us what you thought about our program and see pictures from throughout the year
- Final Survival Days: we will be helping with the library sponsored Final Survival Days, make sure to check out the events and say hi
